Our Vision

ECAP BioEnergy LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ECAP LLC, is a group of more than 550 Missouri farmers dedicated to expanding agricultural opportunities through the development of innovative and sustainable energy sources. Our farmers produce a wide range of crops and byproducts that make us well-suited for annually renewable bioenergy production.

While ECAP LLC’s focus has been on grain and ethanol production, ECAP BioEnergy LLC has access to technology with potential applications for a broad range of agricultural and industrial uses, including feedlot waste, grain processing, soil supplement, animal feed and engineered solid biomass fuel. We look forward to exploring all of these opportunities, which will provide a cleaner, more sustainable future for all.

History

In 2001, a group of Missouri farmers saw an opportunity to create a new generation cooperative that would add value to their products and enable cleaner energy production.

The group formed the East Central Agricultural Products (ECAP) cooperative and began the process of developing a business plan to own and operate an ethanol plant in East Central Missouri.
